Whatever kind of music she plays, she always seems to be completely in her element. Their repertoire is relatively small, but of such an enormous range that you have to wonder not only how many pianists might play some of it as well as them, but whether anyone could handle it all similarly. From the way someone plays Beethoven, you can quite reliably conclude how his Bach, Mozart or Debussy would sound like. With Argerich, on the other hand, everything is open. That the Capucon brothers nevertheless come into their own in this program speaks volumes about Argerich: never has an artist spent so much time promoting young musicians whose celebrity does not yet correspond to their actual achievements. So she single-handedly made Ivo Pogorelich a star. 1. Opening 1:16 Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953) Symphony No. 1 in D major, Op. 25 "Classical" 2. I Allegro 4:00 3. II Larghetto 4:14 4.
